Technical information about QUIZME
QUIZME listens for question requests from operators that arrive via APRS-IS.
APRS information
QUIZME listens for messages on its name with an APRS-IS server.
QUIZME supports basic packet ACK for inbound messages, and provide message ids for outbound messages.
Currently, it will not resend messages that have not been ACK'd by the remote client.
Implementation
QUIZME is implemented as an Oracle Micronaut Java-based REST server / Handlebars UI that can run on any Java-capable platform.
Data is saved in a MySQL database using Micronaut Data.
QUIZME has a REST API allowing for the management of quiz masters, quizzes and questions.
The API can provide informaton on operators asking questions and the results of their answers.
QUIZME was implemented by John Rokicki (KC1VMZ).
QUIZME depends upon javAPRSlib written by John Gorkos for incoming packet parsing.
Known Issues
QUIZME is not perfect.
The Profile page needs completing, to include joining and leaving organizations, and changing one's password.
Additional dynamic questions to be created, including grid square location.
Greater resilience for APRS-IS server connectivity.
